Summary
Point Wallet keeps your cards on your own phone. We do not run a server for your cards, we do not ask you to sign up, and we cannot see your cards.
What is stored and where
- Card photos (front and back), barcode values, card names and the details you save are stored in your browser's storage on your phone (IndexedDB), encrypted with a key created on your phone.
- Your settings (language, lock method, a salted hash of your PIN) are stored in your browser's local storage.
- Photos are not saved to your photo gallery by the app.
What is sent over the internet
- Nothing about your cards. Barcode reading and text reading (OCR) run inside your browser.
- The app files are downloaded from wallet.jellydock.com (Cloudflare). The text reader engine and language data are downloaded once from cdn.jsdelivr.net. These downloads do not include your photos or card data.
- Point Wallet has no analytics, advertising or tracking.
Card lock
Sensitive cards can be locked with your phone's own lock (Face ID, fingerprint, phone PIN) or an app PIN. This check happens on your phone.
Deleting your data
Delete a card in the app, or clear the site data for wallet.jellydock.com in your browser settings to remove everything. If you lose your phone or clear browser data, cards cannot be recovered because no copy exists anywhere else.
Not supported
Point Wallet does not store payment cards (credit, debit, bank or prepaid cards) and blocks numbers that look like payment card numbers. Photos of licences, ID or insurance cards are reference copies and are not official documents.
